Besser Systems and Software is a small company dedicated to developing new products with innovative features. These products are developed using up to date technology and methods. Innovation and free thought are used to provide additional innovations. Simulation is most often use to aid in the development of requirements.
Experience is taken from both automotive and military industries. Domains covered include controls, diagnostics and data communications. Applications include actual control, power control, propulsion system control, weapon system, sensor processing and vehicle subsystem control. The current focus is on Situation Awareness systems for commercial and military usage.
Focus is on the initial concept development which include requirements elicitation, requirements generation, interface generation, rapid hardware and software development, initial verification testing, initial system validation.
Critical information is developed using Model Based System Engineer tools and Mathworks Modeling tools. These tools provide key traceability of requirement and produce data dictionaries and interface documents. Analysis of power loading and data bus loading is available.
Initial prototypes are built off the initial electronics schematics. Following on prototype board are developed on computer and feed directly into board layout software. Manual updates are used to improve the PCB layout that the auto router could not perform. Early prototype PCB boards are fabricated in house using a Voltera PCB printer. Final PCB boards are fabricated at outside facilities and the boards are built and tested in house.
